Miraculous Virgin medal, 18 carat gold
On this oval medal Our Lady is represented surrounded by the inscription: "O Mary conceived without sin pray for us who have recourse to thee."
On Saturday, November 27, 1830, the Immaculate Virgin appeared to St. Catherine Laboure, a Daughter of Charity, and gave her the mission of striking a medal of the model which she revealed.
"Have a medal struck on this model, the Virgin said, people who wear it with confidence will receive great graces."
St. Catherine Laboure spent her entire life in the service of the elderly poor, at the Hospice d'Enghien (77, rue de Neuilly, in Paris), where she died in sanctity December 31, 1876.
She was beatified May 28, 1933 and canonized July 27, 1947.
This medal was struck in the front and back, therefore we cannot engrave it.
This medal will be delivered in a jewel case.
